Our Story: Bridging a Crucial Gap

Hello, I’m Ian, the owner of VPI. I bring over 35 years of security sector experience, blending my extensive background as a seasoned certified locksmith with a keen passion for detailed documentation.

The inception of VPI was a direct response to a real-world problem faced by property professionals. This need was crystallized when a London firm required urgent, non-destructive access to a vacant commercial property on Ramsgate High Street. They needed independent visual documentation that their existing local agent could not supply, highlighting the critical gap in service.

Recognizing the significant challenge—the difficulty of coordinating secure, non-destructive access for unoccupied sites coupled with the immediate need for accurate, high-quality visual documentation—it became clear that managing separate contractors was inefficient and often resulted in delays.

My unique background allowed me to seamlessly combine these two critical services, offering a single, trustworthy point of contact that saves time, reduces logistical complexities, and ensures comprehensive results for estate agents, property managers, and solicitors across the Thanet area and beyond. Beyond expert property access, VPI provides comprehensive photographic documentation, including detailed property condition reports and aerial drone photography and videography.

Our core focus remains on expert access, detailed inspection, and immediate security restoration (locks/chains). We intentionally do not perform general maintenance or structural repairs, ensuring zero conflict of interest and allowing you to dispatch your preferred specialist for fault remediation.
